Harrowsmith’s 50th Anniversary in 2026

Harrowsmith is creating a special collector’s edition Fall/Almanac

In 1976, Harrowsmith magazine launched from a kitchen table in Camden East, Ontario, as the grassroots voice for mindful living, homesteading and environmental consciousness. From its humble beginnings to becoming one of Canada’s top magazines, Harrowsmith has evolved through constant shifts in media, agriculture, climate, travel trends and urban growth. The desire to reconnect to the land, wild and food we grow has never been greater and 50 years later, we continue to be Canada’s go-to resource for living simply and sustainably.

To celebrate our 50th year anniversary, Harrowsmith is creating a special collector’s edition Fall 2026/Almanac 2026-27. This edition will be even more jam-packed with the things you’ve come to expect in the only all-Canadian almanac.
