- Anise Hyssop (Agastache) It’s deer resistant, attracts butterflies and hummingbirds like crazy, and is fragrant (smells like licorice). Hardiness zone: 2.
- Yarrow (Achillea) Lacy foliage with blooms in yellow, pink, red and white from June to September. Hardiness zone: 2.
- Lavender (Lavandula) Scented and showy and attractive to butterflies. Different varieties offer different sizes of blooms. Hardiness zone: 5.
- Daylily (Hemerocallis) Grassy leaves with beautiful July blooms. Find varieties in every colour. Hardiness zone: 2.
