Salad Dressing

Lost & Found Salad Dressing

Our in-house Lost and Found Recipe Ranger, Madeleine Hague, has been on a mission! Michelle, from Muskoka, Ontario contacted Madeleine directly, with fond memories of a “fabulous tasting” salad dressing. Many years ago I had a Harrowsmith cookbook. In the salad dressing section was an oil and vinegar dressing that made at least two cups. Included in the ingredients were Dijon mustard and finely diced spring onions. What a fabulous tasting dressing!! If you could find this dressing I would be grateful! Madeleine delivered, of course! Throw some paprika dusted chicken breasts on the grill and this dinner is almost served: Ingredients Garden Salad Dressing 1/2 cup oil 1/4 cup vinegar 1/4 cup chopped parsley  2 green onions with tops, chopped 1-1/2 tbsp. chopped green pepper 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. dry mustard 1/2 tsp. sugar Paprika to taste Cayenne to taste Method Combine all ingredients, shake well and refrigerate.  Shake well before tossing into salad.
