- Finish winterizing the garden by cleaning up debris, removing stakes and supports and storing gardening equipment
- Mulch perennial beds to insulate roots and protect them from freezing temperatures
- Plan and design any structural changes or additions to the garden for the next growing season

NOVEMBER’S BIRTH FLOWER IS…the chrysanthemum. In Asian cultures, the chrysanthemum signifies life and rebirth, making them great gifts for birthdays and baby showers. However, on the flip side, in some North American countries, yellow chrysanthemums represent sadness or sympathy.
NATIONAL MONTH: IT’S MOVEMBER
In April 2024, Movember Canada announced that the Movember Institute of Men’s Health pledged to invest AUD$59.5 million (equal to a little over CAD$54 million) into the health and well-being of Indigenous communities across Australia, Aotearoa New Zealand, Canada and the USA. With the launch of its Indigenous Social and Emotional Well-being Initiatives, they are focusing their efforts on the health inequalities faced by Indigenous men through holistic community-driven approaches.
