Here are 4 Canadian Roses to Try

Planning on planting roses this year? Try these beautiful Canadian Roses.

John Cabot Rose

‘John Cabot’ is a Canadian Explorer Rose. Hardy to Zone 2, it is an exceptional disease-resistant climbing rose (with strong canes) that blooms in June and July and often again in August and September.

Canadian Shield Rose

‘Canadian Shield,’ from Vineland’s 49th Parallel Rose Collection, is a continuous blooming crimson red shrub rose with glossy green leaves. It’s hardy to Zone 3a.

Morden Centennial Rose

‘Morden Centennial’ is a bubblegum-pink Parkland shrub rose that grows to about 3 feet high with masses of slightly fragrant blooms in June and August-September. It’s hardy to Zone 2.

Oscar Peterson Rose

The ‘Oscar Peterson’ Rose is part of the Canadian Artists Series of roses. Like the man he was, this rose is very special, with creamy white flowers (and striking yellow stamens) that bloom in June and then again in August and September. It’s hardy to Zone 3.
