Join Steve Maxwell as he applies the “weathered wood” version of Ecowood Treatment to a new white cedar picnic table. Steve has been using this type of stain for over 12 years now. It’s a non-toxic powder that you mix with water, then add a dye and spray onto bare wood.
This is not like a conventional stain because it’s water-based. When it is applied with a sprayer, it rapidly weathers untreated, bare wood, adds colour and makes it look great. “I’ve never used this version before, but I will again,” he says.
